Graphic Designer: Marlin
We’re looking to add another Graphic Designer to our team of other super-talented thinkers. Marlin was originally founded with a mission to create marketing that is smart, engaging and unexpected. The Graphic Designer’s primary responsibility is to partner in the development of projects by effectively nurturing a brand concept into a tangible creative object. Throughout this process, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for crafting exceptional creative standards across print, digital and motion work. This includes exposure to Identity development, packaging, brand communications and social media campaigns. The individual will play an active role in internal and cross-functional brainstorming sessions, while possessing a wide range of creative styles and feel comfortable expressing/presenting Design rationale.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative communications for agency, client and new business initiatives.
- Copilot with Art Directors, Copywriters and Development partners in the creation and presentation of ideas from the agency team.
- Maintain the design and executions for specific projects, ensuring they fit the client brand and overall business objectives—and are cohesive across the entire campaign.
- Be familiar with vendors and have the ability to work with a variety of product specifications.
- Play an active role in strategic brainstorming sessions with Creative and Account leaders, offering creative solutions and presenting creative rationale aligned with the client’s objectives.
- Work within a team environment and have the ability to collaborate.
- Conceptualize and strategize agency initiatives.
- Efficiently utilize Adobe CC and MS Office Suites.
- Have a working knowledge of pixel perfection, print production, file preparation and formatting.
- Stay self-motivated to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadline (manage time & budget effectively).
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate superior attention to detail and follow-through.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Advertising or equivalent experience
- Field of Study/Area of Experience: Graphic Design, Advertising, Communications, Marketing
- 1–3 years of experience in similar industry and/or agency experience
- Excellent sense of strategy, message, Design and a portfolio that demonstrates it
